Camping in Rocky Mountain

Rocky Mountain has five campgrounds inside the park, all requiring reservations through Recreation.gov. Moraine Park and Glacier Basin are the main east-side options — large, centrally located, and close to the Bear Lake shuttle stop. Aspenglen is smaller and sits at the Fall River entrance, a quieter choice if you want to avoid the Bear Lake morning rush. Timber Creek is the only campground on the west side, accessed from Grand Lake. Longs Peak is a walk-in tent-only campground at 9,405 ft, the staging base for summit attempts. Book the moment your window opens for summer weekends — Moraine Park and Glacier Basin fill within hours of a new window.
